How do I reset my Keepod?

If you cannot sign into your Google Account on your Keepod:

  1. Start the computer using the Keepod.
  2. Select “settings” in the Keepod menu.
  3. Type RESET (all capital letters) into the intended line, and press enter. The reset will take some time.
  4. Once the process is completed, your Keepod will restart automatically and you will begin the setup process from the beginning. To set up your Keepod, you will need access to the internet, just as before. Click here to learn how to set up your Keepod.

Please note that once you reset your Keepod, you will not be able to recover the files that you saved directly on your Keepod’s internal storage, such as your downloaded files. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you ensure that your data and files are saved on Google Drive, or another cloud, before you reset your Keepod.   

If you can sign into your Google Account on your Keepod: 

There are two ways for you to reset your Keepod.

To do so before logging into your account:

  1. Start the computer using the Keepod.
  2. Select “settings.” in the Keepod menu.
  3. Click on “Reset Keepod to factory settings…”
  4. Type RESET (all capital letters) into the intended line, and press enter. The reset will take some time.

Once the process is completed, your Keepod will restart automatically and you will begin the setup process from the beginning. To set up your Keepod, you will need access to the internet, just as before. Click here to learn how to set up your Keepod.

To do so after logging into your account:

  1. Start the computer using the Keepod.
  2. Log into your account.
  3. Click on “Quick Settings” in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
  4. Select “Settings,” and choose “Show advanced settings” at the bottom of the page.
  5. Find the Powerwash section and click “Powerwash.”
  6. In the dialogue box that opens, select “Restart.” You device will now reset to the factory settings.
  7. After the process is completed, simply log in again with your account and Keepod will  restore all of your settings, apps and data.

Please note that Keepod will not be able to recover the files that you saved directly into Keepod’s internal storage. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you ensure that you saved your data and files on Google Drive, or another cloud, before resetting the Keepod.
